Chackerine is a new band featuring Memphis, TN natives Chuck Vicious (guitar), Katherine Dohan (guitar/bass), and Jack Katze (drums). Katherine was unhappy with the direction her life was headed, and she realized that she needed to rock, or else... She had not seen Chuck for a long time, but she knew that he was the right man to call for the job. Then, seemingly from out of the blue, Jack showed up to complete the trio on drums. Since then, they have been having a great time playing a healthy mix of fuzzed-out pop and rock n roll. This is their first tour as a group.

Red China is a musical group from Ferndale, MI. They create experimental songs and soundscapes with the themes of psychedelia, repetition, and noise that pulls from all types of popular and unpopular musics. Inspired by absurdism and absurdity, the band pulls from the subconscious of themselves and any one or thing in the vicinity to create a collage of linear and yet counter intuitive sounds and words that is aesthetically pleasing. There is no good or bad in Red China, just an ever increasing palate of ideas. It is a constant evolving beast existing only because it needs to be.

I knew you didn’t write this. Your little blurb is exactly what is on the Lager web page. Why wouldn’t you just post a link to the Lager House page instead of pretending you wrote it? Or, at least post a disclaimer that you didn’t write it and that you re-posted what was on the lager site. Everyone else does at least that ….
